Keyboard shortcuts
Use keyboard shortcuts for navigation, commits, and file previews.
MarkdownFocus and keyboard commands
Keyboard commands act on the focused window or pane. Use Left Arrow and Right Arrow to move between repositories, history, and files.
With the history results list focused, press Escape to clear the search and return to normal history.
In the main history list, Command+C copies the selected commit's full hash. In the File History list, it copies the selected historical file; paste that file into Finder with Command+V. Standard text copying works in text controls.
Command+Z and Command+Shift+Z undo and redo text while you edit a field. Move focus outside the editor to use repository Undo and Redo. The Edit menu includes the operation name when one is available.
Command+R refreshes the current repository's local state. Use Fetch to contact its remote.
For file recipes, see Tips & tricks. For operation limits, see Undo and recovery.
